Drawing on the strength of ten senior diversity leaders with more than twenty-eight years of experience, international consulting firm Cook Ross is on a mission to build inclusive cultures. Cook Ross offers corporate assessments, change management, coaching, and strategic planning. Their firm drives inclusive leadership in the world’s most influential organizations.
Cook Ross requested interior design services for their headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. The resulting space promotes values of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility. At Cook Ross, professionals enjoy an open-concept office with equal areas for quiet thought. In reception, a glass wall clarifies core values: integrity, transformation, generosity, and inclusion. Here, a peaceful Buddha radiates an aura of mindfulness.
Beyond, a meeting room in blue-green and gray offers fresh space to foster diversity. With plenty of comfortable seating, the central workspace blends natural light, fixtures, and finishes. Wood and ceramics are authentic and sustainable. Indigo, violet, and pale-yellow accents are calm, clear, passionate, and bold. Large-format portraits of eminent thought leaders punctuate the space with a sense of legacy and purpose. Planters, textiles, and artwork enhance employee wellness, promote green thinking, and weave global cultures throughout. Blending timeless and contemporary elements, this equitable design sets human progress in harmony with nature.
