DCPS Cornerstones

District of Columbia Public Schools unites students, teachers, and parents to develop and implement programs for student achievement. The Cornerstones initiative assures every student has access to transformative learning experiences by providing a curated collection of high quality tasks, called Cornerstones, to improve teaching and learning.

The design team was hired to create a brand and visual identity for the program. Using a collective dot pattern in all Cornerstones logos communicated the interconnectedness of the program and the integration of its parts. The logo reflects the stated values of the Cornerstones program: joyful rigor, professional development for teachers, and improved consistency throughout the system.
