Moya Design Partners is the Initial Design and Entitlement Architect for the new Martha Gudelsky Child Development Center (MGCDC) underway in Silver Spring, MD. MOYA is working with the CentroNía bilingual childcare organization and the Homer and Martha Gudelsky Family Foundation on this initiative, transforming the former Silver Spring Library into a state-of-the-art early learning center.
This high-quality childcare facility will be situated on a 2.3-acre property in an area of Silver Spring that transitions from high to low-density at the edge of the Central Business District. It will feature 16 classrooms and serve approximately 180 children between the ages of 0-5. This new project respects the site’s 50-year history and the landscape of the neighborhood. The center will feature a large community room and a commercial kitchen for community-focused events.
The MGCDC-CentroNía childcare program will proudly meet the demand in Montgomery County for high-quality early childhood education. MOYA is using our expertise in designing educational spaces to build a stimulating environment dedicated to the learning and development of Silver Spring’s youngest children, families, and community.
