MGM National Harbor
Moya Design Partners’ boutique interiors for the National Market food hall at MGM’s $1.3 billion National Harbor Resort & Casino led to further work with MGM Resorts across the country. Our team worked closely with MGM to frame their food hall concept in Prince George’s County. It was inspired by the experience of an outdoor urban market. Here, a variety of aromas, spices, and culinary arts combine in an authentic and casual setting.
At the National Market food hall each venue is distinctive. Bahn Mi Vietnamese Kitchen features fresh green papaya and basil dishes served under lighting evoking the straw accents of southeast Asian markets. Amos Los Tacos, the market’s Mexican venue, has an inviting southwestern ambience with tile mosaics of native Mexican flowers. S’cream, an old-fashioned ice cream shoppe, transports diners back to the 1950s through a retro palette and creative 3D subway tiles. At Fish by José Andrés, the setting resembles a dockside. Among weathered finishes seemingly exposed to sea air, patrons choose from the celebrity chef’s fresh fish selections. We designed the National Market food hall as a colorful, branded experience with unique culinary offerings and harmonized aesthetics.
