Payne Elementary School

Located on C Street in the southeastern region of the nation’s capital, Payne Elementary School has served students in preschool through 5th grade in Ward 6 for over a century. It shines as the district’s flagship school for deaf, hearing impaired, and special needs children.

In addition to custom interiors, the firm designed larger-than-life, curriculum-centered environmental graphics for the hallways and shared spaces to engage students outside of the classroom. Bright colors accompany facts and curriculum-focused material to encourage learning throughout the day.
