The ‘Unlocking Inclusion’ series of exhibits launched in San Diego in February 2019. Moya Design Partners invited attendees of the Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools Conference to experience the transformative power of diversity in schools. Visitors opened school lockers to peek into the lives of real students with and without intellectual disabilities to learn how together they are creating a Unified Generation. Attendees listened to students’ stories about how the Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools program both strengthens schools and promotes inclusion with sports activities, as well as opportunities to develop skills and friendships, gain competency, demonstrate dignity, and contribute to the community.
Designed under Paola Moya’s leadership during her tenure as CEO at Marshall Moya Design.
