The ZERO TO THREE Policy Center is a nonpartisan, research-based resource for policymakers and advocates on the unique developmental needs of infants and toddlers. ZERO TO THREE offers the HealthySteps program, an interdisciplinary pediatric primary care program that promotes the health, well-being and school readiness of babies and toddlers, with an emphasis on families living in low-income communities. The HealthySteps program has demonstrated positive outcomes for their participants; this includes the higher likelihood of receiving timely vaccines and screenings for children. Among parents who participate in the program, they are more likely to use positive parenting strategies and offer age-appropriate nutrition to their children.
MOYA’s visual design team managed the editorial design for the HealthySteps annual report. The editorial strategy included custom illustrations for each chapter in a simple, yet powerful color block design; data callouts that visualize the importance of the achievements made in 2020; and the inclusion of different pastel colors to identify each chapter in the report. This playful, yet elegant design highlights the important work of the HealthySteps program.
